Double room at hyle Surfhouse: queen bed under warm lamplight with a Moroccan rug

01 — stay

A home, not a hostel corridor.

Four bright rooms — a double, two twins with mountain-and-town views, and a triple — sharing spotless bathrooms just off the hallway. Soft lamplight, Moroccan rugs, proper beds, and the kind of quiet that lets you hear the ocean from your pillow.

02 — surf

You can read the lineup from the rooftop.

Anza is a quieter beach break on Agadir’s north shore, and the waves are a short walk from the front door. Simo — who grew up right here in Anza — coaches guests in the water, with photo and video analysis to debrief afterwards.

Tagine, fresh bread and a tea tray on the rooftop table, ocean in the background

03 — eat

Dinner is a family matter.

Breakfast is laid out with the ocean in view — msemen, eggs, fruit, mint tea — with vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options. And some evenings, Simo’s mum cooks a three-course Moroccan dinner you can order in. Guests call it the best meal of their trip.

Wild Atlantic coastline near Agadir, cliffs meeting an empty beach

05 — anza

The Agadir coast, minus the show.

A working beach town between the ocean and the hills: fishing boats, uncrowded waves, and 15–20 minutes to central Agadir when you want the city. Guests describe it exactly as it is — “not that touristic… chill and safe”.
