Anza

The Agadir coast, minus the show.

Why stay in Anza? Because the beach is at the doorstep, the waves are uncrowded, the town is honest — and the whole Agadir bay is still only twenty minutes away.

100 metres of street, then sand.

Anza Beach — 4.3★ on Google across 2,500 reviews — is a 2–5 minute walk from the house. It’s a long, open stretch where locals surf before work and fishing boats share the horizon with cargo ships heading for Agadir’s port.

At low tide, ask Simo where to look: the rocks along the beach are known for their dinosaur footprints — Anza’s odd little claim to fame.

the town

A working town that happens to have waves.

Anza is not a resort. It’s a fishing-and-factories coastal suburb that quietly became one of the area’s surf hubs — a strip of family-run surf houses, small restaurants, and a beach that never got famous enough to get crowded.

“Located in Anza — not that touristic a place but great for moving around, chill and safe. Beach less busy, great for surfing.”

If you want promenades and beach clubs, central Agadir is 20 minutes away. If you want Taghazout’s surf-village buzz, that’s 24 minutes north. Anza is what’s in between: real, calm, and cheaper.

Getting here & around

Distances that actually matter.

  • Agadir–Al Massira Airport — ~27 km, about 37 min by taxi. We can arrange a transfer for an extra charge — ask us when booking.
  • Central Agadir — ~8 km, 15–20 min by car or taxi.
  • Agadir port — ~4.5 km; Marina Agadir — 3.5 km.
  • Agadir Oufella (kasbah viewpoint) — ~10 km, 16 min.
  • Souk El Had — ~19 min: one of Morocco’s biggest markets.
  • Taghazout Beach — ~24 min north along the coast road.

Getting around: taxis are the standard way in and out of Anza (there’s a local bus station in the arrondissement, but no meaningful transit network — budget for cabs). Driving? There’s free parking at the house. Guests also head out on day trips — sandboarding on the dunes outside the city is a favourite; Simo can help you plan it.
